Our New Zealand region operates under the Bank of New Zealand ('BNZ') brand. The National acquired BNZ in 1992.

BNZ has a strong brand position in the New Zealand market, and as at September 30, 2006 the National Group employed 5,648 employees (including full-time equivalent, part-time employees pro-rated and contractors) in New Zealand. At the same time BNZ had around 1.1million customers.
BNZ offers you a range of financial services including:
- retail banking;
- corporate banking;
- wealth management; and
- custody services.
BNZ's distribution network at September 30, 2006 comprised 180 outlets and shared access to an extensive nationwide EFTPOS network. It also has well-established telephone banking capabilities and Internet banking services.
