National Australia Bank today released its 2005 Concise Annual Report and Annual Financial Report.
National Australia Bank Managing Director and Group Chief Executive, Mr John Stewart said the report marked the half way point in a three-year recovery program.
"Highlights of the year included the move to a new regional operating model, the appointment of a new executive team, the sale of the Irish banks at a profit of $1.04 billion and detailed restructuring plans," he said.
Mr Stewart said the remuneration section provided detailed information on the National's performance and rewards process and showed executive remuneration was linked to shareholder return and had compliance and behavioural hurdles.
"The reports demonstrate a high level of disclosure and consideration for the environment. Our association with eTree provides funding for revegetation and reforestation projects, the reports are wrapped in biodegradable plastic and recycled paper has been used in the production of the Concise Annual Report."
