ASX Announcement - National Australia Bank Releases 2006 Annual Reports - 1 December 2006

National Australia Bank today released its 2006 Concise Annual Report, Annual Financial Report and Annual General Meeting Notice of Meeting in electronic format. Printed versions will be shortly mailed to shareholders.

The National Australia Bank Annual General Meeting will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Wednesday 31 January 2007.

"This year's annual reports show the National Australia Bank is building a portfolio of businesses to generate sustainable satisfactory returns for shareholders," National Australia Bank Group Chief Executive Officer, John Stewart said.

"This goal can only be achieved by focusing on customer needs, ethical behaviour at all levels, attracting and retaining the best people and working with the communities we serve," he said.

Research conducted by the National Australia Bank during the year showed shareholders wanted a Concise Annual Report that was shorter and easier to understand.

In response the Concise Annual Report has been reduced in size from 96 to 72 pages and features increased use of charts and graphs.
