ASX Announcement - National Australia Bank files 2006 annual report on Form 20-F

National Australia Bank Limited has lodged its 2006 annual report on Form 20-F with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

This follows the lodgement of the 2006 Annual Financial Report with the Australian Securities Exchange and ASIC on Friday 1 December. The Form 20-F is a statutory requirement for the National and contains no new material information.

With the lodgement of the 2006 Form 20-F, the National has now addressed all of the comments raised by the SEC in its review of the National's 2005 Form 20-F.  The SEC has informed the National that it has completed its review of the 2005 Form 20-F and related filings and has no further comments at this time.

The 2006 20-F annual report is attached to this announcement and is also available on the National's group website at www.nabgroup.com. The complete audited financial statements can be obtained free of charge on request.
