NAB appoints The Hon. Steve Bracks to Senior Advisory Role

National Australia Bank has appointed former Victorian Premier, The Hon. Steve Bracks, as an Executive Adviser to the Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr John Stewart.

Mr Bracks will take up the part-time position this month and will advise Mr Stewart, and the leadership of the Bank, on policy areas including education, climate change and corporate social responsibility. Mr Bracks will play no part in any business relationship between the Bank and the Commonwealth or State Governments.

It is also intended that Mr Bracks will have involvement in events linked to the 150th Anniversary of National Australia Bank during 2008.
