Contract Extension for Ahmed Fahour, Executive Director and CEO Australia, National Australia Bank

The terms of the employment agreement entered into in 2004 between Ahmed Fahour and the National Australia Bank contemplates an extension of one year provided both parties agree at least six months prior to the end of the original four year contract term.

We are pleased to advise that both parties have agreed to extend the employment agreement for the one year to August 30 2009. There are no other changes to the employment agreement
